I stayed at Augherea House to break up a journey for work and it was perfect. The room was spotless, very comfortable with all that I needed. I had a great sleep, woke up and was served a delicious breakfast by Matt. Matt was a great host. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We were there to meet up with family so we didn't use many...

We were there to meet up with family so we didn't use many of the facilities that Longford has to offer. Limited range of good restaurants but lots of fast food places. Good central base to explore lots of Ireland.

This is a part of the country which I wouldn’t think of...

This is a part of the country which I wouldn’t think of exploring but I’m so glad I did. I was on my way to a wedding in Roscommon and we stayed in Longford which was within a half hour drive. It was lovely to be by the banks of the Shannon and I will certainly visit again. We ate in “The Purple Onion” and as we waited for our taxi to collect us the proprietor treated us to a nightcap on the house.

The apartment had everything we needed for our weekend visit to Longford Town. It's in a lovely location, very close to the Main Street. So you can walk to the main bars and cafes in just 3-4 minutes, but it's far enough away that you don't have any street noise. It was super clean inside and everything worked perfectly. The sitting room is a cosy spot with a fire and TV. Plus there were snacks and tea/coffee in the kitchen so we felt at home right away. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Longford.
