Il Nido delle Rondini is a project that comes from afar, a dream that slowly takes shape, with the aim of sharing with you my passion for travel, sport and the beauty of this small village in the Alta Val Chisone.

Property info

Il Nido delle Rondini offers you for rent 4 delightful mountain lodgings, two one-room apartments and two two-room apartments, fully furnished and equipped to spend unforgettable moments of relaxation in contact with nature, art and history. The Nido apartments are located in a typical mountain building, in wood and stone, in the heart of the small alpine village of Balboutet, the land of the sun, sundials and swallows! The furniture is in light fir wood, simple and functional, with every necessary comfort. A large outdoor garden, two spacious south-facing balconies and a storage room on the ground floor for bicycles or winter equipment are at your disposal.

Usseaux is a mountain municipality that with its five alpine villages represents one of the most intact example of rural architecture in the whole of Val Chisone. The small villages perched on the mountain sides, the stone and wooden houses, the stables, the bread ovens, the fountains and an agricultural and peasant reality still alive and well preserved today, offer notable elements of interest: Usseaux, the land of murals and the bread chain Balboutet, the village of the sun, sundials and swallows Laux, the water village Pourrieres, the hamlet of Assietta Fraisse, the village of woods and wood The village of Balboutet is the ideal starting point for walks, excursions with mtb and road bikes along the routes of the Giro d'Italia, to discover the numerous high-altitude itineraries for expert bikers or ideal tracks for quiet trips with the whole family. . Of particular naturalistic value are the Natural Parks Orsiera Rocciavrè, Gran Bosco di Salbertrand and Pian dell’Alpe, at an altitude of 2000 m, where near the suggestive Lago delle Rane there is also the giant bench of Usseaux, promoted by the BIG BENCH COMMUNITY PROJECT
