A dream of a place in a lively village in the beautiful Appennine mountains. The whimsical architecture lures you into a warm and welcoming home where you are guests of two very kind and entertaining hosts. The crown jewel is the marvelous food that chef Ben so painstakingly creates and beautifully serves on the perfectly lit terrace. We travelled in Italy for a month and had some memorable meals but nothing quite compared to the inventiveness and intuitive sense of combining flavors we so deeply enjoyed here. The waitstaff was lovely and the sunset drinks on the rooftop deck divine. Warm thanks, Ben and Gaynor, for putting your hearts into creating an exceptional experience for your guests.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our people relaxing in the garden after a delicious lunch or heading up to the roof terrace to enjoy an aperitif before dinner or just sitting on the restaurant terrace watching the spectacular sunsets over the Valle di Comino planning their adventures for the next day...
Picinisco is a beautiful medieval hilltop town with winding alleyways, an abandoned castle and extraordinary scenery on the edge the spectacular national park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. Explore the mountain trails and forest rambles. Climb the peaks for spectacular views, follow the winding river through the valley, or walk in the footsteps of pilgrims to the 13th-century Santuario di Canneto. The hilltop towns in the Valley all have their own history and are worth exploring. Learn the art of foraging with local guides – hunt for truffles, pick porcini mushrooms and wild asparagus, and then create unforgettable dishes in a Villa Inglese cookery class. Try your hand at making ricotta and pecorino, using methods passed down through the generations. Crush the grapes and learn from the winemakers what makes this terroir unique. Relax with an aperitivo on the roof terrace and enjoy panoramic views. Join the party in the square at one of the many local festivals. Or simply take in the silence of the mountains, the clean air and be still for a moment.
