Richard and Melissa live in Osh and have travelled the globe and lived as expats in many locations throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East. This is evident in the property's decor, and their cultural sensitivity coupled with a generally high level of general geographic knowledge. The property attracts guests from every corner of the globe and they love to hear travellers stories, often comparing with their own experiences.

The Oldman House is unique in both design, decor and ambience. The property is centrally located in the cultural district, directly opposite the Kyrgyz National Theatre. Stepping inside, your are treated to an array of wall paintings, ornaments and furnishings that instantly make you feel welcome and at home. All rooms are en-suite and offer amenities such as tea/coffee, water, slippers and gowns and all bathroom amenities. Our breakfast is served in a buffet style and includes mostly home made items such as bread, pastries, pies and quiches, all complimented with a selection of homemade salads, prepared fresh each morning. Seating areas are spread over the entire property and include cozy corners to lounge style sofas and coffee tables. We are in the process of adding an additional patio on top of the existing structure. This serves to offer shaded seating and outdoor dining on the lower deck, with the top deck offering panoramic views and the chance to watch the sun go down.

The Oldman House is central to the Cultural disctrict and has a variety of good quality restaurants close to hand. The main Bazaar is a non-strenuous 20 minute walk away. All in all, the location is perfect whether reliant on car, taxi or on foot.
