The lady at the front desk kindly let us check in a couple of hours early, which we really appreciated as we had had an early start from the UK and were very tired. The room was far bigger than we expected and was spotless. There was a huge amount of cupboard space; a spacious bathroom with very good shower and heated towel rail; fantastic views over the river from the big windows; a large, comfortable bed; a side cove with tea and coffee facilities and a mini-fridge; and a TV with several English-speaking channels. We really couldn't have asked for more. The hotel is about a half hour walk from the old town and there was plenty of room for parking. Breakfast was adequate: there were some warm items (boiled eggs, frankfurters), as well as ham and cheese slices, salad, fruit, cereals, yoghurts and snacks. It was kept well topped up and the fresh croissants on the Saturday were a highlight.

Great location if traveling by car, free parking which is great for a city location, easy to get to when working in the city. Nice and quiet next to the main Riga river. It is a quiet hotel, not very busy, so it may lack some hotel atmosphere, but i would prefer the the quiet compared to a busy hotel. It is what you expect from a 3 star.

The room was outdated, but clean and had everything you need. We especially enjoyed breakfast! Selection was perfect for vegetarians, food was fresh and tasty. We ate in the terrace, while watching birds play in the garden, which was perfect start of the day. Also, you can go for a lovely walk along the river, enjoy great views. It was a perfect escape from the city on a hot summer day, yet you could reach old town within 10minutes (by car).
