spacious hotel in a great location with nice public areas
United KingdomThe personnel is very friendly and helpful. The room was nice, comfortable and very clean. Great facilities. The breakfast was really good with something for everyone and very diverse. The waffles in the afternoon and coffee is a nice idea (they are not that great, but something to warm you up after a cold rainy morning, to recharge you for a next round around the city). The light dinner is actually really nice, but expect cantine quality, not restaurant. The location is amazing and don't forget to ask for access to the hotels tower, you will get a lovely view over the city. For sure I'm gonna stay there on my next trip to Bergen.
GermanyLocation of the hotel in Bryggen was fantastic, only a short walk back into the centre of town and a bus stop out the front for easy access with luggage to/from train station. The room package including breakfast, "fika" and dinner was great value although we never made it back for fika (afternoon tea) as we were always busy sightseeing. The hotel has a tower you can access and view the town from, we were lucky enough for it to be snowing when there so the view was fantastic and at night was gorgeous. We had an early morning departure (too early for the buffet breakfast) so reception organised a breakfast bag for us to go, could not have asked for better service.

They go the extra mile - for those who want an evening meal - they provide one - for those that want a mid afternoon snack- you can get waffles- for those that fancy a relaxing sauna/steam- they have one - they give access to their historic tower to get a birds eye view of the centre of town and the wharf. Staff are lovely, setting is classic. 10 out of 10 for me!
