This is the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Comfortable beds, quiet and great location just off the road.

As long as travelers arrive between 18:00 and 20:00, there’s a real, very helpful living breathing human being for check-in, LOL. Outside those hours, you are sent instructions for access, first to the facilities, and then to your room key. Toilets and shower facilities are outside rooms, but quite close by. The showers are down a flight of stairs, but they were big and (again) immaculate, and the water temp and flow were easily adjustable. The kitchen is VERY well equipped, and adjacent is a large, comfortable common room. During our brief stay we met a couple of Norwegians on a hike in the area, and many tips were shared. Of the many places we’ve stayed so far in Norway, this place was, bar none, the *cleanest*.

We were lucky to be almost the only ones in the hotel. The reception was closed on the day we arrived, but self check in was very easy if you follow the instructions. The kitchen was well equipped. After reading other reviews I knew exactly what to expect and was not disappointed. Yes, the beds could have been more comfortable or longer (beds are not suited for very tall people of 2 m height), yes, the accommodation might be in need for some refreshing, but the price performance is great if you are in need for one night layover with family. There was a bit of a trouble with self checkout, but the property was easily reachable with a call to sort the issue out.

Extremely clean and quiet. I Expected to hear noise from the highway, but the river out back was very peaceful. Hostel is well equipped. Automated check in process was strange, but easy to do. Be sure to check out the historic Kongevegen and stave church if you stop here!

A Vietnam

We were the only ones in the hotel. A bit old but clean, with everything we needed. It was fun to be alone (even the staff was not always present). Coded doors so we could enter and leave at any time. A great stop on our route to rest from Oslo to the fjords.
