Property info

Solberg is a 4 bedroom cabin sleeping 10 at Holsåsen, a quiet high mountain area 15 km from the ski resort Geilo. Built in 2008, it is 1050m above sea level and has beautiful views. It is a short distance (200m) to cross country trails during the winter and it has access to great hiking areas in the summer. The nearest village/town with a grocery store is Hol 5 km away, and there is a train station at Geilo. The cabin has a large outdoor area with furniture and campfire pan. There is a place to park a car. Pets are allowed at the cabin and it can be reached by a year-round road. Automatic toll road to property. Firewood must be brought As this is a self-catering cabin, be sure to bring your own sheets and towels, and all consumables (food, drink, toilet paper etc).

Neighborhood info

The cabin is centrally located in upper Hallingdal where you can find a number of adventure and cultural activities all year round. For example, Geilo, Hallingdal Feriepark (Holiday park) in Ål, Hol Cheese Factory which sells local products, Langedrag (Nature park), Hallingskarvet Fjellbad (indoor swimming pool), open summer mountain farms and fishing. There are a number of areas for hiking in the summer and for cross-country skiing in the winter. In the summer you can drive along the Varaldsetvegen road to Vats however during winter the road is only open as far as Storemyr. Fishing in the area: There is limited access to fishing at Holsåsen, but you can buy fishing licence to Holsfjorden, Hallingdalselva and Bergsjøområdet.
