Hotel was amazing. The location was perfect for a winter ski vacation. The reception manager, Martin was instrumental in making my stay a true pleasure. He made sure that each request I made was granted with pleasure. His staff were trained to make me feel welcome and treated me as a valued guest. Martin is a true professional. Geilo is a ski town.

Geilo is a ski town. Skiing in Norway is more affordable than the United States and less crowded. Unlike many ski towns that I have been in, Geilo was pretty dead once the slopes were closed. There is no public transit within the city limits. Taxis are infrequent and expensive. If you stay for a few days, a car is recommended. We took the bus from Oslo to Geilo and the train from Geilo to Bergen. It is spectacularly beautiful and the young people working at the ski resorts were very cool. There is a nice international vibe.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment last weekend. The owner lady was incredibly kind and responsible, making sure everything was perfect for our arrival. Parking was hassle-free, which was a great relief. The apartment itself was exactly as described: clean, beautifully designed, and very quiet. It provided a peaceful retreat after our long trip and busy days of skiing. The sauna was a fantastic addition, offering much-needed relaxation and warmth. Overall, we highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a comfortable and serene place to stay. We will definitely consider returning in the future!

The downhill skiing is great for a party of mixed ability - you were never too far apart to meet up again. Nice variety of runs in Geiloheisen side. Less variety of runs in Geilolia but every run a great one. Being able to also set off on lots of varied XC ski trails is also a good selling point. There are a couple of good sized supermarkets in the town.

Geilo was a great location for the particular activities we planned. There are shops in the event you left an important piece of equipment or clothing at home. Other than that, there is one public laundry facility located at a camp site....LONG LINES OF CLOTHES .....would take 5 hours to eventually wash your own clothes.

Geilo has everything you may ever need for a nice ski vacation. I mean everything. And if you enjoy snowkiting, you are also not far away frpom Hardangervidda where you can kite both day and night!!!

Large, well equipped comfy 3 bedroom cabin in the woods a short walk from the ski lifts in Vestlia. Very quiet and peaceful location but only a few minutes drive from the town centre. Well signposted, easy to find and super easy to check-in picking the keys up from a lock box via a link sent to your phone. Vestlia ski resort is a hidden gem, perfect for intermediates and beginners, lovely pistes and no lift queues. Loved our stay there and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in this beautiful country.

Location, one can arrive and leave skiing from the door of the hotel. Breakfast, generous and good variety. Spacious hotel, the hotel has a lot of spaces to seat and chat after skiing. Decoration, great pieces of decoration over the diferent common spaces of the hotel. Good attitude and response from the manager during our check out, when we explain him the issues we had during our stay.

Ski-in, Ski-out was hugely beneficial. Underground parking. Large 4-bedroom apartment with great dining room, living room, & fireplace. In-apartment dry sauna was enjoyed by us. The 3 bathrooms were helpful. Grocery stores in Geilo were excellent for bringing food back to the apartment. Hotel staff were all super helpful. Dishwasher was convenient.

Great to have a self catering option in Norway. Heated floor and space to have luggage and dry out clothes was nice. Bathroom and shower is really good. Beds are comfy. So nice to see curtains added now instead of blinds which makes the room dark at night and a good sleep.

The hotel was perfectly located, right next to the train station, the shopping centre and restaurants. The hotel has charming interiors and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet had a good spread with tasty dishes and good breads.
