Appartement exactly as shown in the pictures, very spacious and lovely furnished. It provides everything you could wish for! We spent an extremely good time there and felt very much "at home". Contact with owner very easy and uncomplicated. Should we ever be back in Hemsedalen we would love to come back. Thank you, Mads, for letting us stay in your appartement.

The apartment is located by Ulsåk and is a 2-bedroom with a large living room, and is equiped with all modern amenities, including also dishwasher, washing machine, gas fired BBQ and a bathroom which was fully renovated in 2023. The apartment is easily accesible with car, with parking options directly outside the door. This makes for a perfect base for exploring the Hemsedal valley and mountains, also with equipment intensive activites like climbing, mountain biking og skiing. The apartment is very spacious compared to most other rental apartment in the nearby area and is suitable also for longer stays, like a two week family vacation since it is also equiped with a washing machine. 2 bedrooms with ready made beds, linen and towels. The master bedroom has a queen size bed while the other one has 2 bunk beds, both rooms with comfortable mattresses. A large, private, balcony is ideal for resting in the afternoon sun after a long day outside, having a BBQ or for eating an outdoor meal. Washing out at the end of the stay is included in the price when making a reservation at this site, however you will need to remove the used bed linen, empty trash and similar. A house manual containing all you need to know about living in the apartment will be sent to you before check-in.
My name is Mads and I live in Oslo, but as I enjoy the mountains and especially skiing, Hemsedal is my getaway from busy work life. As I am (unfortunatly?) not able to be skiing all days of the year, I rent out the apartment when I am not using it myself.
The neighbourhood consists of apartment buildings, farms and open fields, and is a quiet area. In winter when snow conditions allows, there are groomed cross country ski tracks close by the apartment both in the direction towards Hemsedal city center but also towards Gravset Ski arena. Ulsåk also has Hemsedals largest grocery store, open 7 days a week, a china restaurant and some other smaller businesses. Hemsedal city center is about 5 km walk or drive away. On the other side of the main road, one finds the excellent salmon fishing river Hemsil - and on the other side of the river Moen camping is located. The road up to Lykkja, with sightings like Skogshorn, Nibbi, Ulsåkstølen, Hemsedal Bygdetun Museum, Gravset ski arena and many more passes right through Ulsåk. Free shuttle bus to Hemsedal ski resort (7km away) departs from the buss stop directly outside apartment building.
