Walk 15 minutes along the lakefront to the heart of Wanaka Township or take a 2-minute drive - just far enough to be away from the crowds. A children's playground is only a short 50-metre stroll away. During winter, the fabulous wood burner and newly fitted double glazing will keep you warm and cosy as you curl up to watch a movie. In warmer months, swing the doors open onto the deck and spacious backyard, and enjoy the sunshine. Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest National Park in New Zealand, but it is one of the most scenic. Abel Tasman boasts pristine white sandy beaches, tranquil estuaries and wonderful forested headlands. The Coastal Track is world famous, and visitors can choose to explore it on their own, or with a guide. Other ways to explore the coastline include sea kayaking, yacht, or water taxis. At the southern entrance to Abel Tasman National Park there is fantastic opportunity for visitors to swim with seals.
