Centrally located, en route to Queenstown or the rugged West Coast of the South Island, the Harvest Hotel offers spacious rooms with views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. This was one of my favorite hotels from our vacation. We had a balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains and a nice walk to the preserved old town.
Located 1.2 miles from Rockburn Wines Cellar Door, Central Park Apartments offers a garden, a BBQ area and air-conditioned accommodations with a patio and free WiFi. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. It was a great central location for day trips to Wanaka, Queenstown and Arrowtown. Featuring a garden and barbecue facilities, Colonial Manor Motel is located in Cromwell, a 2-minute walk from Central Otago District Council and 1.1 miles from Rockburn Wines Cellar Door. I arrived late in the evening and the room was nice and warm with the heaters already on. The place was clean, tidy and welcoming. Shower had great water pressure.
Firewood Creek House is a specialty bed and breakfast located just a 2-minute drive from the center of Cromwell and a 2-minute walk from Lake Dunstan. Free WiFi and free parking is provided. The host was amazing. She was very friendly and welcoming. The house was beautifully decorated, very cosy with lovely views. She booked our dinner reservations at one of the pubs and called for someone to pick us up and drop us off. Great breakfast and overall great experience.
A 2-minute walk from Central Shopping Mall, Cromwell Getaway features a guest courtyard with a swimming pool. Guests enjoy free WiFi access and free parking. Gail meet us at the door and looked after us fabulously.. Dave spoilt us too with his helpfulness...

If you like food and wine you’d love Cromwell. We were there during Christmas and most of the wineries we wanted to visit we closed. So instead we visited Gibbston Valleey that had Pinot we loved Peregrine winery had all organic and well balanced wines.
We went to Cromwell for a winter holiday. It's close to ski fields without the high prices and traffic woes in Queenstown. Also close to skiing at Cardrona and ,Wanaka. We took our bikes and had a couple of (cold!) rides on parts of the rail trail too. We happened to catch quiz night for the locals at Amandoes kitchen - was a great night and Italian cuisine delicious.
A small town surrounded by lakes and some great wine production. A restaurant named No.7 was a great find, a small bistro with fabulous food at reasonable prices for the quality of the offerings. Restaurant located in a newer shopping area off the main road through town, but fairly easy to find. Wineries are a major tourist attraction, with great wines. B&Bs seem to out number hotels, with Hotop House offering comfortable rooms, a good breakfast to start the day and great hosts. A short stay could be enough to enjoy this town.
Awesome little town with an amazing history. Check out the motorsport park for family entertainment. Check about the local wineries for adult entertainment. The little mexican restaurant in the mall so delicious and the service was great and if your looking for a place to stay, Carrick Lodge was fantastic
Great residential development but serious infra structure problems with nil forethought towards the business centre abysmal signage even worst the very limited shopping centre . Eating options are poor .... The signage into Highland Park is unbelievably bad , for a so called international venue directions are poor , and it is dangerous to exit into a 100 km zone returning to Cromwell. Franklin roads are just as bad , but at least the commercial development is progressing spectacularly.

Amazing house with lovely people. You can enjoy the lac's view with a good coffee or tea sit on the catch outside, everything is very clean , beds are very confortable. But the most important, it's the owners of the house who truly help us (my friend and I) in whatever we needed, they are so nice!! If you come in South of new Zealand around Queenstown or Wanaka you have to stop at Cromwell and take nights at the b&b Lakeside !!

It was a nicely set out room with a big comfy bed, a desk and a pantry. The bathroom was roomy and the water pressure was great! It is close to the river/lake which was fantastic for evening strolls after dinner. Breakfast was super yummy! Anne's personal touches and local recommendations made our visit to Cromwell enjoyable and memorable! We'd definitely stay with Anne if we visit Cromwell again.

We loved our overnight stay here in Cromwell. We were made very welcome and our room was perfect and very comfortable. Breakfast was very plentiful. We would have loved to stay another night but we had to move on. Keep up the good work Darcy. Your care and attention to detail made our all too brief stay most enjoyable.

Very clean and well organized accommodation. Lovely location next to Orchard, however there was audible road noise from the highway. The hostess was most welcoming and made us feel quite at home. Easy hop into Queenstown, and well situated to explore Waneka area as well.

The Owners were very friendly. They allowed us to use their BBQ equipment and provided us olive oil and herb. We will stay at the hotel again when we travel to NZ next time. I also mention about this hotel to our friends.

It was cheap for a night. The room was not too small (normal double bed and 4 bunk beds) for 2 people. Shower is fine.
