We had a king studio with lake view and it was fabulous! The views of the lake and mountains are spectacular! Probably our favorite hotel on the trip. Good size bathroom with counter space. Enjoyed our dinners in the restaurant both nights. Definitely the NZ green lip mussels! Staff is super friendly. Rented high quality bikes and path that goes to and thru town is right in front of hotel. Loved everything about this place!

We loved how quiet and peaceful lake hawea was compared to lake wanaka. We also loved the view from our deck of the lake. The facilities were modern and clean. We ate at the bar and listenes to live music, it was great!
Each of these stylish self-contained holiday apartments includes a fireplace and under-floor heating heating. Guests can relax in the hot tub or seasonal outdoor heated pool. The accommodations were fantastic - very luxurious. Front desk guy (don't remember his name - he was from Hungary) was very helpful We really liked the DVDs to borrow

Tabitha is amazing! So warm, friendly and accommodating! The photos of the room and farm do not even do it justice. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and it was the best stay of our trip. Incredibly relaxing and so comfy! Tabitha thought of every comfort we could need and added so many extra charming touches. Plus we fell in love with the baby lambs. I hope to come back to Wanaka and stay there again one day. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Located in Wanaka with stunning alpine views, just 1.6 kms from Wanaka Town Center. West Meadows Motel of Wanaka offers complimentary Wi-fi and parking. The room was extremely large. It was well furnished, modern, had a spectacular view of the lake and there was parking right outside the door. Amazing stay, one of the best stays I had in the South Island. The room was also very clean and the bathroom was spacious. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Wanaka is a fantastic small city pretty charm and beautiful! It is totally worth it to rent a bike and cycle around the lake! There are a few coffees and restaurant and some pub in the night (not so much option), however they are all nice! I would say 2 or 3 nights in there are more than enough!
Small, cozy town on lake Wanaka. The Wanaka tree is a tourist magnet but is a very photogenic tree. Catch it at sunrise for the most beautiful background. Roy's Peak is a good hike that is 5-10 min drive from town and has a clear enough trail to walk in the dark if you're looking to see the sunrise from the peak. Rob Roy glacier track is further, roughly 40 minutes drive but an even arguably more worthwhile hike. Walk around the lake and enjoy sitting at the waterfront in a cafe or bar. Great town to relax in before moving on to the more adrenaline filled Queenstown or difficult hikes in Mt. Aspiring national park.
Room is tiny, no room to move around Shower drain is slow, soap was all over my feet after shower. No room to store luggages This place is for teenagers, noisy with loud music Not stay here again
Love it. View from Rippon Wine estate is magnifiscent. Loved Florence foods for brekkie or a coffee with its quaint deli and lovely outdoor garden, Maude for wine tasting was great and so enjoyed Big Fig for a great lunch.
I loved this place! My favorite stop on the whole South Island. Amazing scenery, fantastic selection of activities. The most incredible cinema called Cinema Paradiso and just an all round relaxing place. You must go....
Wanaka is a very picturesque town. The mountains as a backdrop to the lake on a sunny day couldn’t be any prettier! Lots of good restaurants and nice shops. It’s a great place to spend a few days.

Excellent location with short walking distance to the lake, restaurants & shops. We had a family unit which had a separate bedroom as well as a double bed in the main room. It was all extremely comfortable and great value. There is a seating area outside on the patio with a peep of the lake. For even better views, ask for an upstairs apartment. Added bonus was Molly the cat who will visit you if you like cats! Would highly recommend this property to someone looking for a comfortable but affordable holiday.

Whau, this is one of the most awsome places we have stayed in NZ. So calm, abandoned, in the middle of nature, sourrounded by farm animals and beautiful views of mountains. Real million star hotel during the night when you are enjoying the fireplace while all stars are shining above your roof without any city lights disturbing. Tasty breakfast, very kind people, great bed, and cozy interier. For a price of a standard motel.. We had to prolong our stay. Thank you very much!

Staff was friendly and offered us some travel tips. Location is nice, 15-20 mins walk to the lakeside, and another 5-10 to town center. If you don't feel like walking or driving, the hotel can call you a taxi for 15 dollars (there is no Uber), which is still convenient! The hotel also offer bike hires, and for 25 dollars you can have it for one whole day.

Check-in was fast - Wayne was very helpful and welcoming to us! The main thing about the Lodge is that the location is definitely perfect - very close and within walking distance to practically everything (Lake Wanaka, restaurants, cafes and the city centre). Our room was very clean and cosy, definitely kept us warm in the cold weather.

Massive apartment for the price. When booking I was just looking for a two bedroom hotel room. What I got was a large apartment with two bedrooms, seperate dining room, fully appointed kitchen, laundry, massive luxurious bathroom and views of the mountains around Wanaka. Oh and the staff were very friendly and helpful as well.
