In this property lived a very old man who was a very good shoemaker. Famous for his ability, fine quality and attention to detail, he was much sought after by the ladies and gentlemen of high society. After he passed away, I've decided to make from this house a local accommodation for tourists. I've renewed the apartment, modernized it and furnished in a comfortable and practical way so my guests would feel welcomed and comfortable. The house still has some details from the time where that old man lived though, from the unique style "Português Suave". Can you find where they are? The apartment is in a ground level. A few steps in the entrance hall of the building, will lead you to the entrance door of the apartment.

Médium class neighborhood, very quiet and with several facilites close by, such as coffeeshops, restaurants, mini markets, ATM, public transport... Although is not a very touristic area, it is a neighborhood full of rich cultural and historical icons. Where to start? Empire Café is 10' away, IGESPAR architectural heritage of the 50s, designed by our famous architect Cassiano Branco. London Square (13' away) is Mexicana Pastry shop inside a building designed in the unique style “Português Suave”. The pastry became famous in the modern movement for the richness of the interior space, designed by architect Jorge Ferreira Chaves. Francisco Sá Carneiro Square (Areeiro Square) 8' away, was designed by the urban planner John Faria da Costa in 1938 and the design of buildings were held by the Arq. Luis Cristino da Silva, who did it also in the style “Português Suave”. Av. de Roma (20' away) is full of shops and notable pastry shops such as Luanda, South America, Supreme and Go-go, Lisbon Confectionery and Vitta Rome. You can also find the old Cinema Roma, Plaza de Alvalade and Roma Mall or jog/play in the Alameda Park where you’ll find Fonte Luminosa (5' away).
