The room was big, there were other facilities there such as swimming pool, I didn't use. It was comfortable and unlike many hotels I stayed in the last two weeks, it was not hot at 21 Celsius. Also I ordered food with foodora and it was a nightmare. But Wilma on the front desk was amazing as my problem solver and translator, all with a smile and nothing was a chore to her.
Fly to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, then take a domestic flight to Sundsvall (1 hour). Alternatively, take a direct train from Stockholm (3.5 hours). For local travellers, direct trains and buses are available. International ferries require a transfer in Stockholm.
The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Sundsvall Timrå Airport, located approximately 21 kilometres north of Sundsvall. It offers direct flights to Stockholm and international connections via Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

Great place to start from when you want to hike somewhere green and foresty. Nature reserves, trails, an island few minutes by bus we could walk through five days and still love it. And you return to somehow quiet city, but big enough to get your shopping and meals and also entertainment. Easy to go around and travel to near by cities both by train and bus. I can imagine it would be much harder in winter months, but June in Sundsvall is heavenly.

A nice city.
A nice city. We were driving towards Stockholm from North Sweden, and stopped at Sundsvall for one night. We went to the bathhouse (Himlabadet), which was really nice. The water was warm at the bathhouse and had lots of adventure. The nature outside the town is also very nice (when we were driving, especially towards the north). It was also exciting to cross the bridge in the town.

Sundsvall is an ok town.
Sundsvall is an ok town. This particular hotel was located in/at the edge of the center so all the necessary facilities where within the approximity. Prices for eating out are quite high though, when with a family of four you can easily be off with at least 150 euros a day. My stay was seminar based and strateglically booked so I didn't have to cover much distances to get around, so no opinions about that.

Nice city with a great little downtown area.
Nice city with a great little downtown area. Lots of restaurants with a wide variety of choice. Nice pedestrian shopping area. A wide selection of hotels for all tastes and likes including modern on top of a mountain to old world charm in the center of downtown as well as a hotel on a ship. Nice old architectural buildings with 21st century offerings all around.

Sundsvall, is part of Northern Sweden but geographically more or less in the center. It's a small and cozy little city with all facilities you need and the area outside the city is very beautiful. There is a skiing resort just next door and wonderful places to walk and experience nature.

We like everything. The location is good. Spacious and comfortable. One of the best place that we've stayed. Marcus and mom are very friendly. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Sundsvall again. Highly recommend. Hope your garden will grow more beautiful than now.
Spacious, modern and home feeling flat.
Highly recommend to anyone who wants
something more personal than a hotel.
Host, Marcus, was very organised and felt taken care of.
Good location.
Delicious breakfast, amazing view over the city and forest (sadly the fog got in the way), comfortable and spacious room perfect for family. Overall pretty clean except a few minor details.
The surrounding area was fabulous. Many fine hiking trails. The hotel provided a fine dog bed and we enjoyed our fabulous breakfast in the lobby where dogs were allowed.
We were upgraded to a larger room at no extra cost as the hotel was not full.
The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful.
Parking was close and available.
Good location, in the central area of town but 6 min. away from the public parking lot (40kr/day). Very nice host and cozy hotel with a good breakfast.
