The visit was principally in order to visit the Gem Stone market but there are plenty more places to see. The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is well worth a visit. A number of Temples are there too.

Going through the Taksin shipyard and reviewing things there. Has character and some past history I am sure. We ate at the resort because they order whatever you want and their family brings it in for you at anytime. Breakfast was exceptional, a mix of european and thai and fitted our family. Easy to get around; however, would try and find an easier route to get to the Meena, we did not have GPS, so we ended up inside of the town and had a long drive to the resort.

We went to the National Park, which was close, to see the waterfall. Ha ha ha ha, climbed up many steps and there it was, a little trickle of water falling down a hill....ha ha ha ha. Would not recommend this tourist attraction. Of course, I have been to real waterfalls, and so maybe that has something to do with my remarks.

Goggle took us easily to the hotel located on a small side street. The beautiful new hotel has a spacious private car park and ensures a pleasant overnight stay. We give 5 stars for excellent cleanliness, functionality and reception. There is a breakfast buffet for 100THB with a choice of Western or Thai dishes. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. We'd love to come back anytime.
