The city of Istanbul offers a trip unlike any other, encompassing Asian and European cultures to create a heady mix of art, music and food. The amazing Old Town and the Sultanahmet are home to iconic Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia. More history is hidden in the Topkapi Palace, where you can glimpse the splendour and opulence of Turkey’s Ottoman heritage.
Take a stroll through the historic centre or the bustling Taksim Square before watching the sun set behind countless mosques and minarets. Local fish markets and numerous restaurants lining the bridge to Galata offer the Golden Horn’s daily catch.
If you prefer the fine art of bargaining to fine art, lose yourself in the Grand Bazar and maybe you’ll emerge with a hookah, some Turkish coffee, or even a carpet. The Spice Bazar further immerses you in the sights, smells, and tastes of Turkish culture.
Getting to Istanbul is an easy trip from Ataturk International Airport or Sabiha Gokcen Airport. Whether you want a luxury hotel on the Asian side or a budget hostel in Taksim Square, Booking.com has over 1,000 great accommodations for your holiday in Istanbul.
This is more of a lament rather then a review. We visited Istanbul 13 years ago and it was so much better than it is now. The popular tourist sites are mobbed. Buy etickets aheaof time and go early is my advice.

An amazing City. So much to see and do.
An amazing City. So much to see and do. Would recommend that you plan your trip well to see as much as you possibly can. Galata Tower is beautiful and the views are amazing. Basilica Cistern takes your breath away. Blue Mosque is unreal, photos don't do it justice.

I loved the chaos of the European side and everything it has to offer but it can be too intense after a few days. One of my favourite experiences was visiting Çamlica Camii on the Asian side. Hearing adhan (with the chilling acoustics of the complex) was extremely moving, and they have a really good (and quiet) Islamic civilisation museum. Make sure to visit Çamlica park for amazing views over both sides of Istanbul!

Far more interesting and enchanting than any of the other crowded and expensive cities in Europe. Although inflation is making Turkey much less affordable than when I started coming 20 years ago. Americans spend their time and money in boring, expensive, tourists places and miss so much culture here and in the Middle East.

People were friendly first time there so didn’t know what to expect. It was a great experience food was great and liked the shopping at the Grand Bazaar. The weather was good definitely would go back again.
We stayed for 3 days at this hotel and are very glad we chose it! The room was very clean, with new furniture and a cozy atmosphere. The friendly staff helped us with all our inquiries, from transportation to restaurant reservations. The hotel has a great location, making it convenient to get to Taksim Square and then take a bus to the airport. The breakfast was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel; we have other experiences in Istanbul at the same price, and this one is outstanding.
This is the best property you will find in Istanbul Taksim Square. It’s a very clean hotel with amazing staff who go above and beyond to help their customers.
It states that it is a 3 star hotel but in fact the service and support received makes it 5*
