The view, the location. The food was very tasty. The shower was basic and outside the room but the view from the shower was amazing - you could see the lake during showering.

Steven is a great host! We loved that the money we paid for accommodation supports a school project for kids from the rural area around. Steven showed us around in the region and shared a lot of his knowledge. The crater lakes can be reached by walking and the views are stunning! He was always available if anything was needed. The location is an absolutely beauty, but the #1 reason you'll consider yourself lucky for the rest of your live is to meet the very young behind it: Steven. He is a young adult who takes on his shoulders the responsibility to help so many people: not just his brothers and sisters, but the kids in the neighborhood who come to school daily in the simple classroom built and run thank to the income from the hosting; be prepared: the place has no 220 volts electricity, only solar, and simple facilities, but the scenario is outstanding, smiles of kids and the energy of Steven are contagious: monkeys in the morning just by the door, huge rare birds (great blue turaco) in the tree in front of you, the great landscape, lake view, sunset at the top of the hill just 30 meters from your bed. You do not want to miss this place

This is a must do if you are looking for a place in this area. Steven and his brother Ronnie make you feel at home and have an amazing story to share about this place. They provide for a school with orphans . Ronnie is also a tour guide, so don't bother to book anything in advance, he will take you wherever you want and explain to you everything in detail. We took a nature walk around the crater lakes and in the evening drove to Kibale trying to spot some chimpanzees from the street. Also the local food that Steven's wife prepares was amazing. If we ever come back to this area of Uganda, we will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful campsite deep in the Ugandan countryside with lovely views. I arrived very late at night and the owner waited up for me. He prepared me a delicious breakfast for a small price seeing as I was leaving early for the Chimpanzee Trek. His Rolex is the best I’ve had in Uganda. He also gave me some good advice for the chimpanzee trek, which was although being told to meet there at 7 it actually doesn’t start until 8:30, so I was able to get an hour of much needed sleep, I arrived at 8 and he was exactly right the trek started at 8:40. So I am very grateful to him for that.

This is nice place to chill, with nice views of the lakes around and nice walks! Steven, the host, is very friendly, welcoming and helpful and the work he does for the children is very impressive !! big up 👍👍

The place is rather basic but beautifully located above the lake. The host is running an orphanage school which the income from the guest house helps finance. He is not a great hotelier and some things could definitely improve but your money goes for a good cause, the nature around is lovely and im sure during school season visiting/helping in the school can be lots of fun.

Este es un sitio para la humanidad y la reflexión. Lo que se paga aquí no es solamente una cama, comidas y buenas vistas. Steven lleva este alojamiento con empeño, y con lo que saca paga los gastos y a los profesores de la escuela/orfanato que se encuentra en el mismo lugar y por la que lleva años luchando. Si quieres acercarte a las montañas y el lago Lyantonde, conocer el día a día de los niños o simplemente dormir a varios minutos de Kibale NP, pagando por un alojamiento donde tu dinero llegue a una gran causa, este es tu sitio. Las habitaciones son sencillas, con baño, la comida está muy rica y el entorno es impresionante, en la montaña, preciosas vistas, puedes pasear por los lagos y hacer muchas actividades por la zona. Gracias a Steven por estos días.
