About this property
Warm, friendly, and charming, the family-owned Alpenhof Lodge is a European chalet-style hotel in Mammoth Lakes, California. Our central location, across the street from the Village at Mammoth, near 3,500 acres of skiable mountain terrain, makes us the preferred choice of hotels among families, couples, and groups from around the world. Stay at this all-season resort to enjoy everything from exhilarating skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, and boating during the summer. And if all the activity you’re looking for is a glass of wine by the fireplace, we offer plenty of cozy spots for curling up and doing absolutely nothing at all. Our spacious rooms, suites, and cabins are recently renovated and provide superb amenities, including free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Like most properties in Mammoth Lakes, our rooms do not have air conditioning. This is due to the typically mild summer temperatures we experience in the Eastern Sierra. We do have fans in all units and heaters for when the temperatures drop. The Village at Mammoth is just steps from our hotel, with the Mammoth Gondola access within a 5-minute walk. We also benefit from being on the free Town of Mammoth Lakes shuttle route, which runs through the town year-round and to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area during the winter months. Few hotels put the best attractions right at your doorstep like we do! After a day spent enjoying Mammoth Lakes’ many activities, return to enjoy a soak in the Jacuzzi (indoors for winter, outdoors for summer) - or swim in the pool (summer only) before you head to spend time with friends at The Clocktower Cellar, our casual pub, with its large beer and whiskey selection. Book your stay at the Alpenhof Lodge Hotel and enjoy the best of Mammoth Lakes at one of the best values in the High Sierra To our Valued customer, we wanted to bring to your attention, that there will be some construction on the lot next to us on Minaret Rd during the daytime hours. We thank you for your understanding and patience while our community continues to grow.
Couples in particular like the location – they rated it 9.4 for a two-person trip.
