West End Beach is a 10-acre day-use beach area on lovely Donner Lake with shaded picnic areas and barbecue sites. There is a daily, nominal admission fee for use of the West End Beach area. Amenities at the park include tennis courts, volleyball courts, kayak and paddleboat rentals, swimming and fishing areas, and boat parking. And if you want to hit Lake Tahoe, it's only a 30-minute drive to Lake Tahoe's North Shore. In winter, Northstar, Sugar Bowl, and Boreal Mountain ski resorts are all within 15 miles of this Truckee Donner Lake House! This lovely lakeside getaway features a reverse floor plan with the main living area upstairs and all but one of the bedrooms on the lower level.
