We loved our stay, the staff were the most welcoming we have experienced in Asia over the last 3 months, Laura made our stay memorable with a friendly smile and always happy to help with any questions we had, we arrived early and she kindly made us breakfast and prepared the room for us ahead of check in time which was greatly appreciated. The property itself in my opinion is perfectly located 1 block away from the Center, it’s quiet at night and a 2min walk to many restaurants. Also they provide motorbike rental and laundry at the same price you’d expect to pay elsewhere so we did everything in house which was super convenient, Overall we would highly recommend and if we ever return to Hue we would absolutely stay again.

Loved the antiquities museum.
Loved the antiquities museum. Situated near the citadel but a separate ticket. Lovely old wooden palace. Takes about 1-1.5hr to visit. Often missed in the day tours. A day tour is a good idea as they drive you around to the key sights which are quite dispersed. Often excellent value with lunch thrown in.

The Citadel was a little disappointing.
The Citadel was a little disappointing. It has the potential to be a major attraction. The grounds needed lots of attention. The main royal palace was under construction or maintenance, so a 'no-go zone'.
The audio guide and associated map numbering system used to direct users to all the features of the site was very hard to follow and in some cases inaccurate.

Having read about the damage to the Citadel during the 1968 events, expectations about the Citadel were modest. However, both the city and the Citadel turned out to be quite charming and captivating. We spent more than half a day exploring the Citadel.
Using Grab for transportation made it easy and convenient to explore the city.
Just try avoid going during hot periods - we went early April and felt temperatures were extremely hot around 42-44c.

In addition Hue is still not too overrun by tourists, i.e. if you stay a couple of nights at which you have the opportunity to go to local restaurants like CHAN and see how vietnamese families enjoy life.

Hotels don't carry enough tourist information for first time...
Hotels don't carry enough tourist information for first time visitors. This should be the role of the Tourist Board. Also a better city map showing more details on how to get to the sites, where to buy tickets and where is the entrance.
Really lovely place to stay! The staff were incredibly helpful giving us so much information about what we could do in Hue and options for tours we could book through them. We did an amazing tour at Bach Ma National park which is less popular than other tours but so worth it. The hotel allowed us to leave our bags for the day after checking out and we were able to shower when we got back before getting on a sleeper train. The rooms were also lovely with some great amenities in them and comfy beds and pillows.
The intricate details and rich colors truly embodied the essence of Vietnamese culture. But what truly stood out was the hotel's perfect location, right in the heart of all the must-see attractions. From the moment I checked in, the staff's warm hospitality made me feel like a royal guest. My room was immaculate, with every modern amenity I could ask for. I highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking for a true royal experience in Vietnam.
Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and unwind in the peaceful oasis of Thanh Lich 2 Hue Hotel. The comfortable beds will lull you into a blissful sleep, while the private setting ensures a quiet and relaxing stay. Wake up to the aroma of a delicious breakfast buffet, serving fresh and local delicacies. The natural beauty of the surrounding area will leave you in awe, creating the perfect backdrop for your vacation.
Room is really clean. All furnitures are new and well decoration. This apartment has nice view and full of appliances for daily use, it’s make me has feeling like home even this is my first time to visit Hue city. The host is super friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable and relaxed more than staying an hotel room. What a good choice for this trip. Highly recommend to anyone want to visit Hue for work or leisure
One of the best hotels we've stayed in, during over 2 months in South East Asia. The staff were very attentive, best customer service we have experienced yet. The rooms were beautifully designed, fresh fruit platters daily and the room cleaned to a very high standard. Super comfortable bed and a nice treat to have cable tv to watch on a rainy day in Hue. Definitely worth the money, felt like a 5 star hotel.
- beautiful lobby and rooms. Very aesthetic and well taken care of.
- Very friendly staff
- Amazing breakfast, best one we had on our trip to Vietnam. The hotel stay is worth it for the breakfast alone.
- Outlets by the bed were great and nightstands.
- Very close to the street that closes down for nightlife, music, and souvenirs. Within walking distance of some of the best restaurants in Hue.
Excellent hotel in Hue. The room was very comfortable and spacious...and the balcony was great. Amy and everyone else on the staff were very attentive, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was very good with a good selection of food available. The young lady managing breakfast was very nice. The hotel is centrally located in Hue with lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby.
Absolutely stunning location, an oasis of relaxation minutes away from the chaos of Hue. Excellent customer care with lots of attention to detail. The restaurant in the hotel offers one of the best meals we had in all our trip along Vietnam, offering local dishes with a fine dining twist as well as western dishes beautifully prepared and presented.
Really enjoyable stay at Seven Hue. Lovely and kind hosts who served really nice breakfast each day, accomodating oir vegetarian needs too.
The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.
We booked onto the city tour with the hotel and it was a very enjoyable day out visiting the palace, tombs and temples.
Great stay for a low price.
The hotel was very pretty. We arrived early and the staff were very helpful with giving us ideas of what to do and organising for our laundry to be done (it was then delivered clean that night). It was raining while we were in Hue so we couldn’t make use of the rooftop area, though it looked great.
Laura and her family were so kind and accommodating during our stay at the Four Seasons Hotel! Great location that’s close to the centre but down a quiet road. Great breakfast and comfortable room with amazing views!! Highly recommend this lovely hotel as the place to stay when visiting Hue!!
Wow, does not even begin to describe. From check-in to the staff the room the breakfast everything was 5 star plus. My wife was very impressed with the spa. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone anytime. This is our 6th trip to Vietnam and this hotel counts among the top 5 easily.
the room we had was perfect, even though it rained the whole time, we were comfortable and enjoyed the view. The staff was super friendly and even helped us get a vietnam sim card (which isn’t easy!). We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in Hue!
Sill Path Grand Hue Hotel was all about luxury, attitude and elegance.
Hotel features internal garden, terrace/ pool between Hotel buildings thus creating kind a Oasis you have always been looking for.
All was great including breakfast.
Indochine palace was a lovely hotel. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was spacious with a wonderful view of Hue. The gym was great and so was the pool. The music played in the lobby at night was lovely.
Fabulous beds, clean, lovely & helpful staff, great breakfast, and plenty of personality. This boutique hotel is the essence of old colonial Vietnam. A must stay in a perfect location to explore Hue.
Location is great and the bell captain at front door of hotel was the best ! Van Duc. He was perfect in representing the hotel and Vietnamese people ! 5 stars for him
Great sky bar on rooftop
At the heart of Hue’s Citadel, yet quiet, private, clean, and very comfortable. The best staff I have seen in Vietnam “and that’s a lot to say”. 2 thumbs up & 5 stars rated!!!
