The location is exceptional with a beautiful sea view. Although it was between Christmas and New Year, the beach was private and clean. The house is luxurious, safe and included everything that we needed and more. Bridget made sure that we felt...

With panoramic views of the Indian Ocean with its warm water and with direct access to a sandy beach and lagoon, Munster Bay Beach House is ideal for an active holiday catering for many interests - swimming, cycling, surfing, walking, bird, whale and dolphin watching, sunbathing, reading, or yoga. Its location in a conservancy means that wildlife and coastal vegetation enhance the experience of the natural environment. The living and dining areas are linked to the kitchen with modern appliances. The bedrooms (one upstairs and the other three along a downstairs passage) are set separately from the living areas creating a spacious feel to the property.
Munster Bay Beach House surprises me every time I visit with its spectacular sea views and spacious yet integrated living. I always feel relaxed when I open the front door and see the sea before me. Then I want to abandon the mundane part of unpacking and head straight down the path onto the beach for a walk, with fresh sea air and the swish of the waves on the sandy beach, There is nothing better knowing that this invigorating experience will be mine for the duration of my stay. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do and I look forward to hosting you soon,
Munster Bay Beach House is surrounded by nature with regular sightings of small antelope, dassies, fish eagles and dolphins. Swimming beaches with lifesaving patrol are at Glenmore Beach, Leisure Bay, T.O. Strand, Port Edward, going south. To the north, beaches are Palm Beach, Trafalgar, Marina Beach, Southbroom and the more popular beaches in Ramsgate, Margate, Uvongo, St Michaels on Sea, and Shelly Beach. Golf courses in Southbroom, San Lameer, Wild Coast Sun, Port Edward, and Selbourne (Pennington) offer the pundits great choices to test their handicaps. Clearwater MTB trails at Beaver Creek Coffee Estate are the closest formal routes, offering varying challenges and superb views of the Mtamvuna River gorge and the Indian Ocean. From Munster Bay, the coastal path offers may opportunities for long or short walks - South to the Mtamvuna River, the Wild Coast Sun, and the Eastern Cape and north to the Mpenjati Nature Reserve at Palm Beach to Southbroom and into Ramsgate. The coastal path is ideal for trail running as well as rambling. Horse riding on the seashore takes place between Trafalgar and San Lameer at Selsdon Park and at Ocean Trails Equestrian Centre at the Wild Coast Sun on Mzamba Beach. The annual sardine run takes occurs between June and July. In the migration from the cooler Atlantic waters, shoals of sardines swim along the warm Natal South Coast heading north into the Indian Ocean, bringing with them a plethora of sharks, dolphins, whales, other sea life and a festival of bird life that follow the shoals as they move up the coast. The Riverbend Crocodile Farm on the Old National Road has daily viewing when they feed these prehistoric creatures. The Old Pont on the Mtamvuna River has facilities for river boat cruising and speed boating. Many restaurants in small coastal villages offer delicious, fresh food. The local towns offer medical support as well as food, clothes, technology and sports equipment. These are mere snippets.
