The location of this guest farm was perfect - just outside De Rust on the road to Uniondale. The house is set well off the district road and set up against the hills behind the house. It was lovely to see the wild animals around the property. Great to take a walk in amongst the Springbok, Giraffe, Eland, Wildebeest etc... The house was large and very well equipped with everything you might need for a get away. It was clean, neat and tidy. It had a large communal area with a fire place and large verandah that runs around the entire house. Ideal for sitting and enjoying the scenery and animals... or reading a book.

  • Hi can you accommodate 12 people? How far are you from Baviaanskloof and how far is the closest restaurant or place we can get food?

    We can only accommodate extra guests on mattresses. De Rust is only 10km from the farm and has a number of restaurants to choose from.

  • Is it suitable to use this as an overnight base if I am running the meiringspoort marathon ?

    Yes, it is only 10km from De Rust, but we do require a 2 night stay and are fully booked for this year's race.

  • hi what are the road conditions to the guest farm as we drive a very low sport car?

    Good afternoon, it is only a short piece of dirt road to the house but not suitable for a low sports car.

Ribboksfontein offers a luxury, spacious, self-catering house on a private game farm. The house is rented as a single unit and is not shared with other guests. The farm is set in the scenic Klein Karoo region and has a beautiful hiking trail passing along natural mountain pools for guests to swim in. Guests have the entire farm to themselves, ensuring complete privacy and relaxation.
De Rust is only 10 km from Ribboksfontein and has many unique shops and restaurants with friendly, local proprietors. Meiringspoort Waterfall is also close by, as well as Oudtshoorn, Klaarstroom, Prince Albert and Uniondale.
