About this property
Located in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, this luxurious campground features air-conditioned tent suites with a private patio. The communal area consists of of an open-plan lounge, a dining area and an outdoor pool. Overlooking Madikwe’s valley and the river, the tent suites at Thakadu River Camp come with mosquito nets, tea/coffee facilities and a private bathroom. The family tent suites have an extra sleeper couch for children. Meals and beverages are served in Thakadu's communal dining room, which has wooden floors and a fireplace for colder evenings. Room service can be arranged upon request. Children older than 6 years are able to join the games drives on offer and a babysitting service is available for those younger than 6, with prior arrangement, at an additional charge. Massages and laundry services can be arranged by the reception staff. Free parking is provided, and OR Tambo Airport is a 3.5-hour drive away. Gaberone is 12 mi from the campground.
