This is a nice hotel outside of the city of Thun. The rooms are a nice size with a great shower, comfy beds, and an incredible view of the Alps, and Lake Thun from the balcony. The owner is a lovely woman (who speaks little English) who served breakfast consisting of meat, cheeses, breads, yogurt, juice, and coffee or tea. .If you don't have a car, there is a bus that stops within a short walk that goes into Thun, where train service is available. to Bern and many beautiful sights. The town of Thun is very interesting, also We were visiting friends who lived in Heiligenschwendi, so it worked well for us. It is extremely quiet with the silence being broken only by cow bells. I would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is located up the mountain from Gunten and has wonderful views. The staff are very welcoming and friendly- this was my 3rd stay and I always enjoy it. The restaurant is also very good and you can sit outside and take in the scenery. Great location for visiting the entire Thun region and even Bern. Love it.

The location was idyllic! The room was a good size and the breakfast great.

The view was amazing - mountains and Lake Brienz. I booked it last minute, good thing we were able to get a family room. The family room was clean, we had two bathrooms (one room was ensuite) dining table, kitchenwares, fridge, sink, etc. We brought our own toiletries although they provided some shampoo and shower gel / soap each bathroom. Clean towels were also provided. Beds and duvets were comfortable and clean.

The room is exceptional with a comfy bed, pillow and blanket. There's no air conditioning in the room but it's occupied with a fan and won't be hot even though it's summer. Kitchen facility is sufficient including microwave, stove, fridge and utensils. Check in time is late 16:30 and if intended to check in earlier, guest are invited to go to another hotel for a check in procedure (400m).
