This is a great pub hotel. The recently refurbished rooms are excellent. Beautifully furnished and a good size en suite bathroom. We arrived after a long drive and the manager (Justin) made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Our dinner was very good and breakfast fantastic. We booked here due to its close proximity to the Newhaven ferry terminal. We would come and stay again. It really was a super finale to our UK holiday! Well done to Justin and his staff.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I was signed in and walked to my room. The room was incredibly specious, well equipped with iron, fan, kettle, coffee pod machine, decent TV and more. The rooms are also nicely decorated, full of character and the beds are really comfortable. The bathroom was also huge and finished to a really high standard. The food (I had breakfast and dinner) was delicious and plenty of it.

Having driven past this hotel many times on our trips to Brighton, it was a really lovely surprise to stay at this very welcoming, fresh, and well equipped hotel which had struck us as rather dowdy in the past. The food was of a good standard and the views from the restaurant were idyllic. Exceptionally friendly welcome and service at dinner and breakfast. The room was well furnished and a modern and clean bathroom topped it off.
