If you want a superb, quiet relaxing few days by the sea, you can't do any better.

The August House has been beautifully renovated, with lots of lovely homely touches. Beds were comfortable and facilities were good - we particularly enjoyed using the firepit to toast the complimentary marshmallows! It's well located with easy access to main roads elsewhere in the region. Owners were very friendly and helpful.

I expected one of course, and was not disappointed. I have stayed there before and I knew the place was well kept and clean; however there have been expansions and they are a great improvement. I was glad to see that the establishment is still growing. We stayed two nights, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that our room was cleaned and tidied after our first night. The staff is exceptional. They offer some great packages. Worthwhile to check it out.

The host was more than courteous and very kind. The room left nothing to be desired for, was very comfy and created a warm, historical atmosphere thanks to the antique furniture and eye for detail. Last but not least, the freshly and obviously with great dedication made breakfast looked almost too good to be eaten and tasted even better.
