The room was wonderful and the breakfast was fantastic. Truly enjoyed my experience here

Me and my wife spent our New Year holidays in Gastehaus Gerlinger. The apartment was great, with all the required amenities, very cosy and warm. It’s located very central. The staff is very nice!! I will definitely Stay in this hotel when I’m back to Rothenburg.

This guesthouse is situated within the historic walls of Kloster Weltenburg, the oldest monastery in Bavaria. It lies in the Weltenburger Enge conservation area, near the romantic River Danube. Wonderful, peaceful, friendly sanctuary. Beautiful location on the bank of the river. Rooms are lovely and very clean. The restoration of the building is of very high quality with great attention to detail. Wifi is super fast. There are beautiful walks around the area, all the way to the neighbouring town Kelheim. There is even a ferryman who takes you to the other side of the river for 2 euros! Resturant has excellent food and is well priced in my opinion. There is a brewery in the monastery and the Barock Dunkel beer is particularly delicious. When coming back from my walk, a monk stopped and helped us with directions, very friendly and so nice. I originally booked two nights but ended up staying for three.
