Gabrielle, a seasoned michelin star chef and his wife Aliona opened this hotel in 2023. It was a monastery back in 1800 and they renovated mostly by themselves and their 2 sons. Every corner of the hotel has a personal touch, showing their passion and utmost care to a place they now call home. We truly felt their warmth and hospitality. They showed the process of the renovation for 9 full months. It has been an amazing experience in Tuscany and i fell in love with Italy because of their cities and hospitalities. Hope you could visit and stay at this place when you are visiting Tuscany. They have a set menu lunch and dinner at 45 and 65 eur / person, but we have not got a chance to try because they have a full day wedding the next day, so it is not serving lunch and dinner. Situated in Castiglione dʼOrcia and within 31 km of Mount Amiata, L'Alberghetto Le Dimore Di Contrasti has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. It was convenient for me and had a good restaurant. Checking in staff and restaurant staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

The locanda is located in the middle of Val D'Orcia and the village around it is just lovely. They also have a restaurant, which is super convenient if you arrive late in the evening and want an authentic taste of the local cuisine. The room was big enough for my wife and I, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time!
