It was clean and tidy. It was pretty quiet when I stayed but you have to be respectful as the other room is next to you so don't have loud music and use your inner voice. The stairs are quite steep just take your time. It was unique to try Japanese-style accommodation. They text you the password for entering and for your room. So don't forget it, just take your phone with you.

The location was rustic but everything seemed very new or renovated. The quasi-private onsen (shared between other people in the house) was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were also spacious with AC/heater, and a pretty comfy bed. The owner was also extremely friendly and prepared for us some amazing meals.
