Loved: ease of getting there - it’s very close to the main station, very nice and friendly staff, delicious and abundant food, very clean and large public onsen and private onsen overlooking the river, very authentic Japanese room with comfortable mats, cleanliness, etc.

Situated in Hakone, 14 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station and 37 km from Shuzen-ji Temple, NEW OPEN『天然温泉』芦ノ湖畔の完全貸切別荘 offers a garden and air conditioning. It has its own onsen bath and a kotatsu-like heated carpet on a low table where we had fun chatting while heating our legs.

YUPOPPO Hakone er staðsett í Hakone, 43 km frá Fuji-Q Highland og státar af garði, sameiginlegri setustofu og fjallaútsýni. Very nice ryokkan and owner! Would recommend! A bit far from the center but a great way to escape from all the tourists and many options to have dinner nearby + bus stop very close.

Ideally located in Yokohama, The Kahala Hotel & Resort Yokohama, open from September 2020, offers lavishly-decorated air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Beautiful hotel room gorgeous, breakfast was out of this world.

AROMA KURAVI (Adult Only) býður upp á loftkæld herbergi með flatskjá í Kawasaki Ward-hverfinu í Kawasaki. A convenient location in Kawasaki, not too far from Haneda Airport. Located in a nice neighbourhood close to many interesting restaurants and it made a nice change from staying in central Tokyo. The room and the bar area were lovely, we had large room with an extra bed for kids. The Sake on offer was lovely and tbh I probably sampled too much... We took a train to the Nihon Minka-en, really interesting to see some historical Japanese houses in Tokyo and a very peaceful park. The Taro Okamoto art museum is also great fun...

WeBase Kamakura is a resort hotel and restaurant in the ancient capital of Kamakura, one minute from the Shonan sea and one hour from the city. Really splendid and accomodating. The shared facilities were magic- the lounge with light dinner and free drinks, the location is great, the on site restaurant was great fun and value for the quality, the rooms were great - the family room was so spacious- this was brilliant value and experience all around.
