I honestly don't understand some bad reviews. The service was impeccable, the attention for the details as well. I stayed in a 5* hotel in Europe and don't even get close to what they offer. Close to the station, a few minutes walking and close to a nice bakery (Sizuya). Thanks we loved it.

J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse is situated in Hongu, a 10-minute drive away or a 70-minute walk on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine. The place was super comfortable and nice. We loved the onsen!

Amazing location. Great room, super comfortable. Nice staff, very accommodating. Would definitely return.

The breakfast service was a highlight of our stay! The beautiful decor, authentic experience with the irori bbq made in front of you was incredible. Everything was delicious, with strong attention to detail giving you a humble luxury that feels typically Japanese. The room was simply gorgeous and the bed incredibly comfortable. The complementary items (late night soba, stocked fridge) made it even more special and intentional.
