A recently renovated guest house situated in Minami Aso, お宿でん吉 features a garden. The owner, his wife and the manager were all very kind and helpful. It is a traditional house that has been beautifully restored. The facilities were beautiful. We really enjoyed the BBQ dinner - lots of food and fun! Would recommend this rental wholeheartedly!

It is an easy walking distance from all the specialty shops in this lovely little traditional town. The staff were very helpful and collected us from the bus stop. The highlight of this property is the variety of hot spring baths you can enjoy and many of them are private so you can have them all to yourself without needing a reservation. The outdoor bath at night was amazing under the autumn foliage with the steam floating above the hot water. It was like a dream. The breakfast was delicious with very generous portions. I think this is the best Hotel to stay at in Kurokawa onsen

金春 -in KONPAL Penthouse-, a property with a garden and a terrace, is set in Kikuyo, 5 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, 13 km from Suizenji Park, as well as 14 km from Kumamoto Castle. Very spacious penthouse apartment that has access to rooftop terrace with street and Mt Aso view. We enjoyed going up the rooftop terrace to just chill, read a book, have a drink and enjoy the Kumamoto weather. Deck chairs, chairs and table provided too. Heating, ventilation and lighting is sufficient for comfort in all seasons. The place is tastefully decorated and super well equipped kitchen like a good quality home. The bar counter with bar stools and large dining table are great for hosting a get together. There are board games, big TV, a set of golf clubs and putting mat for use. Many cans of beer were provided in the fridge for our consumption. Bathroom is big and the bathtub fitted 2 persons very comfortably. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Host was helpful and precise with instructions that made check-in very smooth. Definitely a Value-for-money place which we will return to!
