Wonderful staff, absolutely delicious and beautifully arranged food, comfortable, spacious, and clean room, and really nice onsen. I would absolutely come back and wish I'd been able to stay longer! Very close to the beginning of the Mt Haguro climb, as well.

I would rate them 20 out of 10! Absolutely everything was perfect: the room facilities, the view, the beds, the thoughtful amenities. The food provided was top quality, although you cook for yourself (which was extra fun for us), the result is restaurant-quality. We are very grateful to the friendly staff, who responded to any requests, were always in touch, showed genuine concern and helped us get to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

The hotel was lovely and staff were excellent. Great location and an easy walk to the ski field and village for dinner. I stayed in a traditional Japanese room and the view of the village was beautiful. The staff were always helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend.

The atmosphere was superb, very helpful and kind staff! The food was also brilliant, I also used their sauna room which was very nice too and very reasonably priced. Overall, wonderful for the price. The view from the room of the lake was unbelievable as well.

I don’t think words can explain how wonderful this ryokan is: from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave if feels you are looked after! Staff was amazing: even though they don’t speak english that much, we were able to communicate with them! Beautiful view over the ocean! 100% recommend if you are in the area!
