The Inn at Palo Alto is a quaint property located over Palo Alto River, 3 km from the city centre. It offers a free daily breakfast buffet and free WiFi. That is a breathtaking relaxing indulgence. I had a room overlooking the volcano, a very good breakfast comes with the view over the river AND they give salmon for breakfast, which was a pleasant surprise! The jacuzzi is well maintained, hot, and again with the view. The location is perfect for beautiful walks around.

This one is a jewel. The rooms are beautiful and so is the garden around it. Breakfast was delicious, and from where they serve it, you can see a lot of birds. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Situated in Caldera in the Chiriqui region, Caldera River Canyon has a patio. With pool views, this accommodation offers a balcony and a swimming pool. Everything! The cabin was perfect with everything we needed. Such beautiful gardens and pool right beside the river. The owner and staff were really friendly and helpful with anything we needed. It's the perfect place to stay. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Los Quetzales Ecolodge & Spa has a fitness centre, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Cerro Punta. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a bar, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. The location is amazing, a stunningly beautiful village in the mountains, close to the forest and great hiking trails. The staff were super friendly and couldn't have done more for us. The food was fantastic too... every day there was fresh fruit for breakfast and a salad bar stocked mainly with produce from the hotel's garden. All the food was freshly prepared, and delicious. At the weekend there was a buffet breakfast and during the week it was a la carte. We especially liked the pancakes for breakfast, the soups, home made bread, pizzas and pastas, and the wine selection. Our room was very comfortable, and there were seats on the balcony looking out past the hummingbird feeders (with plentiful birds at all times) to the garden. All in all it was a super relaxing stay, in a beautiful location surrounded by friendly staff and great food.

It really surprised me how well kept is the property and the rooms, considering the age of the hotel. The rooms are big and ver well ventilated. Breakfast was included: the hojaldres were delicious! The staff was always very pleasant
