A recently renovated guest house in Selmes and within 35 km of Alqueva Dam, B&B Casa da Ponte Selmes Vidigueira features pool with a view, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. Casa da Ponte is such a gem! The rooms are round a lovely garden which is shared with the owners. It's a shady haven, with a pool, and swings and hammocks to chill in. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfy. We visited a river beach nearby which was really fun and the Casa da Ponte owners lent us paddle boards. We also enjoyed the pool table and the turtle pond.The owners are really friendly and welcoming but also give you plenty of space. All in all we loved it and hope to be back!

The property is outstanding. Heaps of space, extremely well appointed, especially if you want to cook your own meals. And why not when the views from your terrace are so picturesque. Our host provided lots of helpful information in advance and responded promptly to our questions. The bed was very comfortable and there was zero noise at night so sleep was a breeze. Make sure you follow the advice to drive to the property exactly so you don’t end up down a narrow back street.

Our host Fatima was wonderful and very friendly making us feel genuinely welcome. She was also very helpful with various suggestions of places to eat. The room we had was very comfortable and spacious with a large attractive bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and varied. We had a very relaxing stay out in the countryside.
