The historic Margretetorps Gästgifvaregård is located by Hallandsåsen mountain ridge, a 10-minute drive from Ängelholm city centre. You need to book a restaurant in advance, because when you arrive, everything is already full. There are a lot of people at the hotel because it's a wonderful hotel. Everything is great.

There was so much luxury in this well-planned apartment that we regretted only staying one night. The separate undercover and glassed-in verandah with BBQ and comfy lounge puts this place on an entire next level, and that is without mentioning the jacuzzi that was already hot and ready and super clean upon arrival. Even the air-conditioner and dishwasher was a touch of convenience which shows the thoughtfulness of the host. Very convenient in the middle of our long road-trip was the washer and separate dryer which allowed us to do multiple loads in one day. Clever stairs which takes up minimal space to to the generous sleeping area on the landing above, a large TV which can be enjoyed from the big and comfortable bed on the bottom level, and all you will ever need in a kitchen while enjoying the view of the water through the kitchen window. Small added luxury items like designer coffee mugs and imported wine glasses made us feel extra welcome and added to the high level of comfort the host is clearly aiming for.

Featuring wine tasting classes and a heated outdoor spa pool, Sydkustens at Pillehill offers pet-friendly accommodation in Skivarp, 48 km from Malmö. Free WiFi is available on site. The hosts were fantastic. The location, even though being remote, was very nice and cosy on the country-side. Breakfast was very fresh and super crispy with many home-grown produce.

Set between Lakes Toven and Ålsjön, these tastefully decorated cottages and rooms are 25 km south of Västervik. The cottages offer a BBQ, kitchenette and private patio. Fantastic place to relax at the nice lake just in front of our cottage. Very quiet, totally nature and still close to Västervik.

Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

This early 1800s castle is 10 minutes’ drive from Västervik. It offers fine dining, spa access at an extra cost and a private beach. All rooms include free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV. Excellent location, nearby Västervik. Room with all what you need and seaview. Great wellness with swimmingpools and hottubs. Great floating sauna on the water and even indoor. Friendly reception and possibility to borrow bikes for free.

This hotel is set in a renovated 19th-century farmhouse by Abbekås's Mossbystrand Beach. It offers free Wi-Fi, in-room flat-screen TVs. Our room was located in a old silo which was completely renewed with all modern comfort (air conditioning, large TV screen, minibar,…). Unfortunately our room did not have front view on sea but we really enjoyed the location of the hotel very close to the beach (nice for romantic walks before or after dinner)… The restaurant of the hotel is very nice in Swedish style and is offering some local food (BTW with very large choice for breakfast). The hotel is close to Ystad (only 10 km) which is a nice city of the southern Swedish coast (jazz festival starting from 31st July). Also SPA is available in the hotel (this is normal, we are in Sweden! 🇸🇪)…

Nastanitev Cozy house close to the sea se nahaja v mestu Ystad in ponuja teraso, brezplačen WiFi ter razgled na vrt. No breakfast included, but we did get the whole of the house. Superb throughout. The host Pawel was very attentive and met us upon arrival. He explained the secure door key coding for us. He remained in contact throughout the visit to ensure we were happy with everything.
