It is the best hotel we had in our 4 week roadtrip. Also the breakfast was great ! Ubfortunatly we didnt try the dinner as we went into san diego to eat.

Surrounded by a forest, Rush Creek Lodge at Yosemite features a heated outdoor pool, and children's playground. The accommodation features two hot tubs. We were delighted with this place! The two bedroom villa with balcony suited our fam of four perfectly. Only one bathroom but we managed with our two teenage girls. Balcony with two rocking chairs getting the late afternoon sun after a beautiful long day hiking at the Park was idyllic, the pool, the hot tubs, roasting marshmallows and the smore kits they provide at the fire pits, great drinks at the bar, comfortable and relaxed and generous atmosphere - there are games and books for kids and grownups in the rooms, no tvs and good WiFi which is essential as there is very poor or no phone reception- comfortable beds, spacious, in mid-April it’s got a fair number of families but apparently still pretty calm compared to high season in summer - so there is a nice friendly community feeling but also plenty of privacy - we don’t want to leave!

An outdoor pool with a hot tub is featured at Franciscan Inn Santa Barbara. Modern amenities like a flat-screen TV and free WiFi are provided in all rooms. Everything was fabulous. However the bed was the most comfortable ive slept in recently. Im thinking about buying the same mattress! The room was very quiet and peaceful. It was very clean and modern. We could walk everywhere and love love loved Santa Barbara!!

Located just outside of Big Sur and 11 km from Hearst Castle, Moonstone Landing is an oceanfront property that serves a continental breakfast. All guest rooms feature free WiFi. Right on the beach and beautiful sunset, very quiet

Located 5 minutes’ walk away from Old Mission Santa Ines, this boutique hotel offers a restaurant on site. It features an outdoor pool and hot tub and spacious room with free WiFi. We miss Tommy at the front desk. He is the reason we liked to stay here. The staff at front desk are not very friendly.

Located on the shores of Pismo Beach, Pismo Lighthouse Suites boasts a putting green and a year around outdoor pool and hot tub. This dog-friendly accommodation features suites with free WiFi. The room is great. The location is perfect with nice view to the cliff and sea. Most of all we enjoyed from the service - Shahar and Joey helped us a lot. Perfect stay!

This Paso Robles hotel features a daily breakfast buffet, on-site gym and rooms with a 47-inch flat-screen TV. Hearst Castle is only an hours’ drive from this La Quinta Inn. The place was great, lovely decorations. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great beds and pillows. We had a lovely relaxing stay.
