Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. From the moment you enter the property, you know you're in for a special treat! Upon entering reception, we were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in. After that, we had a personal tour around the property and then were shown our wonderful chalet. The deck is large and has a fabulous view of the canyon forest. The bed is comfortable. The bathing area is AMAZING. The restaurant staff is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The food is great! We already have it in mind for our next visit to the Storms River area!

What an awesome and unique experience! Loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back. Beautiful setting and views and the stars was something special to see! The hot tub was an absolute hit with the kids and us and the hammock is also such a nice added bonus. Friendly host ready with ice and wood and even snacks if needed. Comfy and clean beds (even extra length!) and tent fully equipped with anything you can possibly need and more! One of the best weekends away!

The villa and luxury tent were great to stay in and we all slept well! We were close to nature and saw a lot of animals in our short stay, we should have booked for longer! It is a perfect location for a family or business event. Breakfast was prepared in the villa by the breakfast team and everyone loved it! The wood fired hot tubs are great too!

We truly enjoyed the beautiful garden and the lovely swimming pool, and the level of privacy is excellent. Good restaurants and the main atractions are in walking distance even as a supermarket. The historic Royal St. Andrews Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre is located in Port Alfred. The rooms were very well turned out and very spacious, the staff was exceptionally accommodating, and, and the food delicious.
