Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. From the moment you enter the property, you know you're in for a special treat! Upon entering reception, we were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in. After that, we had a personal tour around the property and then were shown our wonderful chalet. The deck is large and has a fabulous view of the canyon forest. The bed is comfortable. The bathing area is AMAZING. The restaurant staff is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The food is great! We already have it in mind for our next visit to the Storms River area!

We truly enjoyed the beautiful garden and the lovely swimming pool, and the level of privacy is excellent. Good restaurants and the main atractions are in walking distance even as a supermarket. Offering an intimate Big 5 safari experience, Quatermain's 1920's Safari Camp features a boma bonfire and BBQ facilities. It is located in the Amakhala Game Reserve. We did the cave overnight and wow!! What an amazing experience! It surpassed all expectations. We did a walking safari with 10 rhino, heard the lion roar in the cave, had the best dinners ever, saw all kinds of animals on the game drives and really enjoyed our hot tub. This place was stunning!! A lovely time to unplug and enjoy nature.
