We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

The pictures on booking.com do not do this place justice. Everything was perfect, from the host to the very tidy room equipped with everything in the kitchen. There's an electric blanket in the bed in addition to the aircorn. Very big smart TV. High speed Wi-Fi. We wished we could have stayed longer so we can use the outside braai facilities or the games room. Definitely going back. I have found my little escape haven ekasi. For a moment you forget that you are in Vosloorus once you are inside the yard.

Wonderful stay at a beautifully decorated apartment right at the river. Outstanding hospitality. Delicious dinner and most wonderful breakfasts. The hosts made us feel so much at home and we will definitely be back.

This property was absolutely beautiful, the pictures do no justice at all, the host was extremely friendly and very welcoming as well as had heated up the jacuzzi before we even requested which we loved, this was the utmost unreal experience ever and had everything we needed. The host had tended to our every need and had helped us with every query we had, this was the most beautiful night away that I’ve been searching for, for months, I am extremely grateful to have come across this place with the most beautiful views as well! Thank you once again, this was an amazing experience, will 100% come back.

The staff was very helpful, I got lost but their assistance made so much of a difference . They really made my birthday extra special so I really appreciate their efforts . The kitchen facilities had everything we needed & the chalet was very clean . A big 10/10 from me. The jacuzzi & braai area enabled us to bond nicely cos there is enough privacy for each chalet
