I had an absolutely lovely experience at the Olin Big Hotel In during my recent visit to Sydney. The location is perfect – nestled between Paddington and Darlinghurst, you’re right in the middle of one of the city’s most charming areas. The hotel itself is incredibly cozy and comfortable, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made me feel at home immediately. The staff were exceptional – genuinely friendly and always ready to help with recommendations or any questions I had. The breakfast was a real highlight, offering great quality and variety to start each day. Considering everything the hotel offers, the value for money is outstanding. What really makes this place special is the neighborhood. You’re within easy walking distance of fantastic bars, restaurants, and shops, and if you’re there on a Saturday, don’t miss the beautiful Paddington Markets – it’s just a short stroll away. Honestly, I can’t think of a single thing I didn’t like about my stay. It was a truly memorable experience, and I’d recommend the Olin Big Hotel In to anyone looking for a comfortable base in one of Sydney’s most vibrant areas. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing service Location was actually good

The staff is very friendly, specially Shella at reception made this experience very pleasant. We reached early, our room was not yet available so she upgraded us to a better room just to make it convenient for us. The location is another key factor. It’s only 20 minutes to the CBD by public transport which is available every 7 minutes. That’s great value for the price you would pay!

Character filled pub stay, sink in room, value for money and does the job for those who just need a crash pad for the night and nothing fancy. Bathroom facilities were plentiful. Keep in mind lots of stairs.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made my experience even more special. The staff were consistently polite, professional, and incredibly efficient—they really go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The check-in process was seamless and impressively fast, making the whole arrival experience smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for both comfort and excellent service.

The location, and value for money

Paddington is such a fabulous place to stay! The hotel was perfect & peaceful. The area offers a great choice of coffee shops & some cool shops & bus #333 takes you to Bondi beach in one direction or the City & all tourist attractions in the other direction!

We got upgraded to the superior room which was lovely.

The manager or owner of the lodge was amazing and helpful, she even let me check out a bit later than the usual check out time. I booked the superior queen studio and it is as big as you can get for the price, has an amazing terrace, a ceiling fan and a normal rotating fan, plus there are 2 desks that you can work on.

Hospitality from the heart. George and his sister are very friendly and welcoming hosts. The place is very clean and in excellent location. The bed is very comfortable and the room is quiet with all the necessary things (TV, hair dryer, fridge and kettle) for a comfortable stay at the hotel. Will definitely consider it for future stays.
