We recently spent two nights at the Royal Savoy Hotel in Lausanne. The hotel is truly excellent, exuding luxury and elegance in every detail. We appreciated that pets are allowed, as we traveled with our well-behaved small dog.
However, despite the impeccable service and opulent surroundings, we couldn't shake the feeling that we didn't quite belong amidst such grandeur. The atmosphere, while sophisticated, felt a bit too formal for us.
After our two-night stay, we decided to move to the Novotel Bussigny. There, we found a more relaxed and comfortable ambiance that suited us better. The experience at Novotel was more in line with our preferences, allowing us to unwind and enjoy our stay to the fullest.
In summary, Royal Savoy is perfect for those seeking a luxurious and upscale experience. For us, however, the more laid-back environment at Novotel Bussigny was a better fit.

The view of lake Geneva was beautiful. The train station of ouchy olympics was close by. Great Neighbourhood. Heritage building. In house restaurant. The Doclk for the boats was just outside the hotel very convenient if you want to do a steam boat ride to montreux.

It was close to the metro station Ours, which was good if coming by train from le gare or boat from Ouchy. It was also close to some good restaurants. It had coffee and tea making facilities in the room. It had a reasonably priced breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room facilities were modern and clean. All in all an excellent experience. I wish all hotels had this high standard.

I liked the location, the room, the breakfast, the subway being 10 meters from the hotel's entrance. The hotel is near the old center of the town, and a few subway stops away from the lake at Ouchy.

Parking space at rear for my motorcycle 🏍, pleasant reception staff and staff throughout my stay.
Aged hotel but clean & functional.
Explored area & headed for Metro nearby to Ouchy.
Shower 🚿 was OK, but facilities are shared down corridor.
Kept window open as no a / c or, indeed, a fan but was noisy through early part of night.

Very charming hotel, with all the comfort and calm to fully rest. We also enjoyed the large bathroom, the free mini bar, and the hammam / sauna at Château d'Ouchy just next to Hotel Angleterre as clients can use both facilities.

Beautiful hotel located on the side of The Lake. Ouchy is easy to walk around with plenty of restaurants/bars.

The room was modern, with great decor, a comfortable bed and a walk-in shower, which is better for older people. The location was excellent, being close to the train station and the Grancy Metro, which we used to go down to Ouchy a number of times, as it was so easy. There was a supermarket and restaurants close by.
The breakfast room on the 9th floor had beautiful views, and the breakfast was excellent.

-Located next to Lake Geneva and hotel did provide the room with Lake view. It was a great view!
-Staffs are polite and helpful
-Room size is good
-Migros just located next to hotel
-Good restaurant is located nearby (La Riviera is highly recommended)
-Worth the money
-Only a short walk from Ouchy-Olympique Metro station
