Very cool looking, large rooms. Tastefully decorated. Still looks almost brand new inside. Staff were incredibly helpful and really friendly, provided us with Swiss power adapters because I forgot them. Restaurant was very good. Covered parking helps in the heat of summer. I didn’t use the electric scooters as we didn’t have time but I really wanted to!

I visited this hotel while on business, and decided to treat myself to a relaxing stay after many hours of driving. The reception was great, they explained how everything works and I received a bracelet to enter the thermal baths which were very easy to access from the hotel. Bathrobe and everything was in the room, even nice slippers, (not the paper ones you sometimes get), all in all very relaxing. The baths were lovely in the sunshine between the mountains, and during my stay at least, a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The room was very nice, with minibar and coffee machine, I had a balcony with a view to the park which was lovely. Bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was also at a very high standard. I had the buffet on both nights, and I must say that it was really good, the live chefs made meat dishes to order, the bread was crispy and fresh, the desserts bountiful.. lots of good cheeses...all in all a good value for Swiss standards. The Breakfast was good too, although the scrambled eggs were a little too fluid for my liking, maybe this is a cultural preference, (I did have a laugh about this with an American and German guest), but this does not take away any points in my view. The parks at the stream was very nice, I was able to access the rocky part at the end of the park. Not for swimming mind you, the stream is quite fast...! Nice veranda style terrace to relax too..

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Upon check-in, they generously offered us a choice between two rooms, which was a pleasant surprise. We opted for the lake view room, and it was absolutely stunning! The hotel's location, just a 15-minute walk from the city center with a nearby bus station, was convenient. The promenade along the lake was breathtaking, adorned with beautiful flowers. Overall, our stay exceeded our expectations. Bravo to the hotel for such exceptional hospitality! Thanks to the friendly receptionist, although we didn't catch her name.

Hotel is quite old, but very well maintained and clean. We especially enjoyed the spa with outdoor heated pool and three saunas. Outdoor pool, hot tub and saunas are all 16+ years accessible only. Great dinner choices (fish, meats, vegan options, porridge, lot of vegetables, fruits and bread). No soup. Very professional and kind staff. Spacious rooms. Only basic amenities in bathroom (soap, washing gel), towels. Good value for money. Exceeded our expectations based on previous reviews..

This was extraordinary. In packing out, we forgot (and left in our room) a small leather agenda book. We called the hotel from our residence in Brussels to see if the hotel had found it. Indeed they did find it and notified us with a message asking us how we would like it send from Lausanne to Brussels. It was superb service.

Montreux was wonderful to visit and the traveler cards the hotel provides gives you free access to public transportation and sites along with discounts is a great bonus. We used the busses and trains multiple times a day. We went to the Charlie Chaplin Experience which is very worth your time. The Chillon Castle and the Freddi Mercury Experience walking tour should also be included during your visit. It was warm, I would even say hot so being able to walk out and cool yourself off in the lake was wonderful. The city was setting for the Jaxx Festival to the quay form the Freddi Mercury Statue south to the Convention Center was full of tent and stages. We were north of this area and were not affected, lake access was normal and view were not impeded, I can't say that for hotels in this section of the lake area. Highly recommend this hotel.

It seems the city restrains the use of energy, therefore the AC in the hotels are limited no matter if you are payment CHF 50 or 1,000 per night. In our case, the room thermostat was off until the air temperature reaches 80oF. If this was an individual hotel policy, that was all right. You as guest could cherry pick and have the freedom to make elect the hotel that better suits your needs. However, it seems this is the typical local government overreach as this was determined by the city of Lausanne (or at least that what the hotel told us). Anyway, this should have been disclosed.

There is a great “sightseeing” walking trip around the town. The waterfront is great. Lots of history around the town dating back to BC and roman. 3 museums all worth it. Decent choice of cafes and resto’s. Close reach to geneva on train. Leman is wonderful.

Fantastic style and spacious rooms with an extremely comfortable bed. Due to the proximity to the highway, quick and easy to find. Strongly recommended, especially for people on a longer trip seeking a great stopover. The restaurant is closed on the weekend I was told when I arrived, but there are alternatives nearby.

The region is very nice with Lavaux Vineyard Terraces that one can enjoy both walking through or driving roads around with magnificent views. We stopped near a self-serving wine shop that had an open terrace even on a closed day, so we could enjoy some grape juice with a view. Highly recommended!

Really nice location in this nice old town area. Simple and comfortable hotel. No AC but a portable fan was in the room that worked well. Windows opened for cooling. They did smoke in the walkway and that would enter the roof now and again. Front desk employees were very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

I've been to Villars several times over the past few years.

I've been to Villars several times over the past few years. I haven't skied for a while so wanted to choose a resort I was already familiar with. For a short trip it's useful to be able to be close to access to the slopes and facilities for ski hire and lockers etc. and with accomodation close to the railway station too it's possible to spend full days of skiing. There is a bus which makes it easy to get to the Roc d'Orsay telepherique (which is at one end of the town) but taking the train to Bretaye is a good alternative and better for avoiding the crowds (I think people arriving by car to ski for the day would naturally choose the telepherique).

The village of Chexbres is neatly placed within the vineyards overlooking Lake Leman, with Evian in the distance. A few restaurants and coffee shops serve mainly the locals with English not widely spoken. A Co Op supermarket and convenience store also at hand. The train to Vevey is on hand to give access to main line trains toward Geneva and other destinations such as Montreux. In the summer months the local pool is available with children's pool and sand pit plus lanes for adults, also a on site restaurant/coffee shop.

A good centre for day trips on the lake and railway.

A good centre for day trips on the lake and railway. Montreux Riviera Card offers many free travel options within the area. For us a limited range of inexpensive restaurants (evening). The railway trip from Montreux to Rochers de Naye is easy to take with stunning views on the way up and at the top. Equally easy rail trip from Montreux to Gruyere.
