An exceptionally cozy place in downtown Bejing. Hidden at the end of a small street / hutong, it is quiet, tranquil and welcoming. The rooms are arranged around a central couryard. Everything is nice and tidy, this really feels like a homestay rather than an impersonal hotel. The manager speaks the best English I got to hear in China in my few weeks there, knows everything about Beijing and can arrange anything you'd need. The location perfect, within walking distance from the main Beijing tourist attractions. There are two things to take note of: - The location on Google Maps is incorrect. Booking.com and openstreemaps have the correct location. - The wooden walls open to the courtyard and there is not much noise protection between the public space and your room. I would not go there with a toddler, and you should also stay quiet at late hours in the courtyard itself.

The standard was much higher than I expected based on the price. Comfort, cleanliness of the room at the highest level. Very nice service. Exceptionally diverse dishes for breakfast. The location is ideal both if you want to explore Beijing by metro or if you want to walk to the main attractions in the center.

Newly renovated in 2020, The Westin Beijing Financial Street has a variety of spacious and modern rooms with free WiFi.
