Nice restaurant / hotel in Vijlen. Position is great with big private parking in front of hotel. Small hotel (only a few rooms) above a nice restaurant (which I did not try unfortunately). My room (#4) was quite big with a big terrace with sun from morning till sunset. Room furniture is quite basic but everything is there. Bed is comfortable, even if two single beds next to each other instead of one queen bed. Bathroom is nice with big shower. Breakfast good with lots of salty and sweaty food, coffee on the contrary is of low quality and need improvement. Nice surroundings for walking, biking, and short driving to Limburg points of interest.

The location is amazing. Everything was between 1-10 minutes away. We could go everywhere walking. The hotel was very clean with comfy beds. I highly recommend this stay.

My arrival is during Easter. The hotel prepared Easter bunny everywhere. My type C cable broke before arrival, and the staff offered the cable so I did not miss the shot of cathedral and treasury.

We went to Aachen for the Christmas market. The room was warm and cozy, the shower was hot, so it felt good to be inside after some long and freezy walks outside.

The breakfast was beautifully arranged and was very tasty. The location is near the city center and everything was a few minutes walk.

We liked everything, and will definitely stay again in this hotel.

The hotel is located a short walk from Aachen's main train station and within easy walking distance of the old town and major attractions such as Aachen Cathedral and the Christmas market. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of fruits, breads, and yogurts, including vegan options. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the hotel area is very quiet and peaceful.

Our host was great! She was quick to tell us that there are three major reasons to visit Aachen. The first is printen, a sweet, chewy, gingerbread-y cookie. We already had them on our list, but she was so insistent that we buy ours at the bakery around the corner from our hotel that we did. And we were glad! Second is the streusel brotchen (little bread, or roll.) So we bought a chocolate one and split it. It’s a good thing they don’t sell these in Madison. The third thing was the cathedral, but it was clear she thinks it’s a distant third. Our apartment was spacious, with a daybed for a third visitor. The kitchen was functional and the bathroom had a lovely rain shower head and a hand-held wand, too. All this and a VERY short walk from the train station!
