The location was beautiful - an historic village and famous abbey with a few small bars/bistro dotted around an old cobbled square The hotel building was old and very pretty and quirky with plenty of outdoor space The outdoor space was a delight - both relaxing and yet peaceful at the same time - the planting and garden decoration was beautiful and the terrace seating was good too. The swimming pool was very inviting (though we did not use it) - with chairs, loungers and parasols set round the edge very tastefully The staff were all friendly, unobtrusive and helpful when needed. The bedroom(ours was a standard) but very clean, well furnished and good ensuite bathroom The food in the restaurant was very good, small but interesting menu, well cooked and presented and very good value given the quality of the produce Great selection of local wines and knowledgeable bar staff Car park to the rear of the hotel was sheltered with trees - a tad difficult to find especially in the dark A real Gem

Location. Staff very helpful and nice

The Chateau is beautiful and in a really lovely, peaceful location. We enjoyed a very relaxing overnight stay. The pool was extremely welcome after a day's travel and the evening aperitif board was perfect. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Drinks were served wherever we fancied, so enjoyed a lovely cold glass of local rosé by the pool, which was perfect. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with an amazing bathroom, really large, with both a bath and a shower.

The hotel has been beautifully renovated and our apartment was delightful: clean, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, and we loved the city of Saumur. We found a local restaurant with an excellent menu within easy walking distance of the hotel. Check in and parking were easy, and our hosts were helpful and present at all times.

The room was very quiet and comfortable The bed was very comfortable The showers were a hit. They have a water saving system that really works, our girls were very eager to try to stay in the green zone. The staff was AMAZING. So helpful, so nice… The food was very good

Love the breakfast, with fresh juice, and boiled eggs, the speaking English front desk staff, the spacious room, and the location, which give you the opportunity to walk around the pond and go fishing.

Easy check in. The room we had 601 was approximately 200m from reception. The estate is huge .Loved the pool and the restaurant was good value. Ideal stop over on a St Malo to Nice bike ride.

Breakfast was delicious. All needs were met and the experience was outstanding! The restaurant was 5stars, very enjoyable with excellent choices of wine. I would stay here again without question.

A truly unique setting: location, architecture, room decor, atmosphere... Mysterious and romantic, it will surely stand out in our memories. Excellent wine and snacks offer for the weary traveler.

A wonderful boutique hotel! Regis is an incredibly welcoming host who helped us a lot. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully served. The rooms are very comfortable, and the location is absolutely stunning. Everything was perfect — I highly recommend it!

Room location was great very accessible to everything and very quiet. Loved being able to get to the spa area in the bathrobes that were on loan to us with a bag to carry our belongings that was very well thought out.

Good location near Loire a Velo cycle path and in center of Saumur. Secure bicycle storage in bar area. Very courteous and helpful staff who gave us great restaurant recommendations.
