Small "boutique" hotel with about 10 rooms total in one of the main tourist areas of Bordeaux City (across from cathedral), near two tram lines, one running from and to the airport for easy access. 10 minute walk from main square, mostly in pedestrian zone, including longest pedestrian street in Europe (as reported by locals). Hotel does not have a dining area, so breakfast is served in the room. There are a number of local eateries for that meal so it's not much of an inconvenience to go out each day (although they usually don't open until 0900 or later, French style). There is at least one staff person on site 24 hours a day, for information and general services.

Very beautiful, small boutique hotel right in the center of the city. The owner was there serving us breakfast both mornings, and he was super friendly and chatty, giving us tips and suggestions for what to see and do and where to eat. He made the hotel feel cozy and personal.

    We visited 3x during the our stay, at different times of the day. But each time, there was no water on the reflecting pool. Conserving water? Not practical during winter? I hope there is a notice posted on if and when there is water on the reflecting pool.

    Great photo opportunities with the "magic mirror pool".

    Great photo opportunities with the "magic mirror pool". If when you arrive ,like when we did, its full of people playing in the pool, be patient because after a while the water turns off to drain, and most people will leave the pool giving you the chance to get the full effect, and take those photos.
