An absolute must see! One of the most spectacular castles, but go early to avoid huge crowds. When you walk in go straight to the furthest point and make your way back to get better less crowded pictures.
I was surprised to see how wheelchair accessible it was and the staff was so helpful. So if you have a some kind of difficulties with moving around, dont miss out on Edinburgh castle. If you dont have a whhelchair, they lend one to you. Edinburgh castle is an absolut must see of you wisit Edinburgh.
If you are traveling with any Disabled guest, book parking ahead and get the disability car to drop you at the top of the castle and make your own way down. It's a wonderful service and covid safe!
We’ve been to several castles. This one I felt was more stately home with military museum which if you are interested in the military museum it’s a great couple of hours. The prison was interesting. Being able to have the audio your on my phone was also good - just remember the walls are thick do you may lose signal! Much more if an adult attraction than for children.
Lovely castle but take plenty money if you want tea & scones ....ridiculous prices a tourist rip off. You would think charging nearly £20 per adult and the numbers in a normal.who visit the castle and the money they take in they would reduce the cost of a cup of tea.
Quite expensive to enter but loads to see and the Tea rooms is great for a sit down after walking around. The Scottish crown jewels are interesting, but it is definitely a visit for those interested in history.
Apartment was clean and comfortable. The washer/dryer combo was handy for washing our clothes as we were in the middle of a 2 week vacation. Location was excellent with a view of Edinburgh Castle. Easy access to locked main door and apartment door using the code they provided. Full kitchen with every item and tool you needed. Bathroom was very nice and comfortable with the exception of a few very small issues.
Edinburgh
This is an apartment hotel in a central location in Edinburgh, near Waverley station and within walking distance of Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood. It's in an old building that has been converted into modern apartments, but the conversion is a bit strange as there are support pillars within the rooms that limit where furniture can go. Good value, big apartment, nicely decorated, everything worked.
Old Town, Edinburgh
The location was amazing right near the Edinburgh Castle. We had fun going for dinner in Grassmarket and then going back to relax in the apartment. The host left some delicious treats and wine for us which was a nice touch! Also, David was very friendly and answered all our questions quickly and gave us explicit instructions to get into the apartment and wonderful restaurant ideas as well.
This hotel was our splurge of the trip and it was worth it. Such a charming place and atmosphere, with a killer view of Edinburgh Castle. Three minutes' walk from the train station and ten minutes' walk from most of central Edinburgh's attractions. We really enjoyed the large bathtub and the views from the hotel restaurant.
Location was fantastic for exploring New Town. Just around the corner was a beautiful view of the Edinburgh Castle. Room was clean and efficient. Bed was comfortable. Another guest left their poor puppy locked in the room and the little thing was barking like mad. Hotel staff handled the situation, and it was no longer an issue.
Was a great hotel to base myself whilst in Edinburgh for a few days! Was close to main attractions and places of interest such as Edinburgh Castle and train station. The room was basic but clean, comfortable and was a large room for what I would expect travelling in the UK & Europe!
This is one of the best locations in Edinburgh, not only to get around the town, but our room had an exceptional view of Edinburgh Castle. The restaurants attached the the hotel are also very good and convenient.
The location was PERFECT! It was so easy to reach the sites in Old Town Edinburgh. Also, the hotel was beautiful, clean, and had a view of Edinburgh Castle that was stunning!
The hotel was a very short walk from the Grass Market, Edinburgh Castle, and the Royal Mile. The room was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly.
The apartment was nice, location was good and we had a view of the Edinburgh Castle.

Edinburgh castle was a fantastic, day out for the whole family, grandparents, parents and children. Loads to see, very informative staff and lots to see and discuss. View fantastic. Tip, book ahead on line to save long queue (we actually did it while stood in queue)
