Fabulous two-night stay just before Xmas. Friendly and considerate staff who were really relaxed (in a good way!). The jacuzzi bath after walking up Pendle Hill was just what my body needed. Tasty food and menus for all. Very quiet in the room, with plentiful supplies of tea bags and biscuits. Great walking from the door.

We only stayed for the one night, but it was a very pleasurable experience. Our room was quiet, clean and met our expectations as far as size was concerned. All facilities associated with the room were adequate. A longer stay would have been good but we were on holiday from Australia and our itinerary was tight; so one night's stay was all we could do.

Great breakfast, comfy beds, fitness facilities were excellent and dinner was delicious

Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. The shower was outstanding.

All round excel all the way,4th or 5th stay, brilliant every time, nearby to family,your staff are always brilliant and work as a team.

We had an overnight holiday in this lovely hotel just outside Clithero. The evening meal was lovely and the full breakfast was an added bonus and the staff were just excellent. We highly recommend this lovely hotel.

Very clean room, everything worked, except TV didn't like PM, but better reception Morning. Didn't have bedside light, that would have been better.

Gorgeous Sunday lunch, ideal location for a wedding a mile down the road, great breakfast and cozy warm room.

Superb location in unique historical site with beautifully maintained gardens. Common areas of exceptional comfort. Excellent service and breakfast.

It was cosy, had a lovely ambience and I felt right at home. The staff, from the receptionists to the staff in the kitchen and bar and the housekeeping team were all so lovely, courteous and helpful.

The Station was great. It was just a “walk away” from everything. Across from the Railway Station and Bus stops. The room was very quaint, very comfortable and very clean. They provided a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. There is also a kettle, mugs and a selection of teas, coffee, milk and biscuits. The hosts were very nice, friendly and easy to talk too. We would definitely stay there again.

Everything was amazing: staff, room, food, bar, bikes even stored in the brewery!

We loved everything, amazing building, rooms were gorgeous and spotless, staff were extremely friendly and helpful The food was fabulous. The porridge with the single malt for breakfast was delicious. The value for money was incredible. We will be back and want to try out the other properties belonging to James.

Spacious clean and comfortable room with a great shower. Breakfast was delicious and there were a variety of options. Sunday roast dinner was excellent. Every dinner meal we had was equally tasty and well prepared. Staff was friendly and responsive to any questions or needs. The location was suitable for exploring in the dales. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.
