I booked the Westbridge Stratford for my parents, who where in London to see ABBA Voyage and to celebrate my mothers 70th birthday - so have not been there myself. Nevertheless, the hotel staff has been incredibly courteous and attentive - in communication with me and regarding its service towards my parents. They had only good things to report and were especially impressed with the warm welcome and room decoration. I had booked the bubble package as a surprise but the staff went above and beyond with a handwritten birthday card and golden ballons. They even brought the luggage up to my parents room - to my fathers embarassment. ;-) My parents also enjoyed the breakfast. When I asked, they mentioned that they noticed some slight vibrations in their room due to bypassing traffic and that it was not completely sound proof. But they had been to London before and said that it is like this most places and nothing that kept them from a good nights sleep. All in all they enjoyed their stay very much and I want to give a big thanks to the staff for making my parents stay an unforgettable memory.

This place exceeded my expectations. Despite some other comments, i've found it absolutely clean, and the service was great. Not luxury at all, obviously, but everything i needed was there in place. Also, i had some doubt about the position, but the closest underground (leytonstone, central line) is within 15 min by feet, and with a nice pedestrian traffic-free road, so everything went smooth and very confortable for visiting London. Room size was also in par with expectation, we received a quite large room with many coat hanger available, and the bed was pretty nice and confortable too.

Lovely and cosy, staff very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. I was there with my daughter attending a funeral and I couldn't of asked for any more.

The endearing happiness, goodwill and earnest desire of the hotel manager to satisfy all his customers’ requests make this hotel worth 10 Stars, in my opinion. - As a global educationalist, I often travel around the world, frequently staying in hotels. I believe the most important criteria are first, a clean room, second, a comfortable bed and third, a quiet atmosphere. This is it. Everything else is of secondary importance. It has been my personal experience that the Hartley Hotel excels in these essential qualities. I paid 45 pounds a night, which reflects the general standard, so do not expect to find the Ritz. But what you will get are these three essential qualities: to rest, sleep well, feel clean, and enjoy your daily adventures around this very great city. There was no breakfast. It says bed and breakfast on the sign, but I didn't see any meals prepared for guests. Very nice staff, however, and a very nice room for the price!

The staff is nice, everything is clean, I really like it. Very to recommend 🙂
